About The Position

Radon Be Gone, a Protect Environmental Company, is seeking a Mold Technician to join their team. This role involves inspecting homes and buildings for mold contamination and water damage, assessing indoor air quality, performing testing and diagnostics, and guiding customers through remediation solutions. The technician will play an important role in helping customers create healthier indoor environments while delivering exceptional service and expertise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in construction, environmental services, HVAC, building maintenance, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to obtain mold assessment/remediation certification (IICRC or applicable state certification) within the required timeline
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
  • Frequent walking, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment
  • Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, attics, and on roofs
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on field work
  • Enjoy solving problems and identifying root causes
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Communicate professionally and confidently with customers
  • Can work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Dependable, punctual, and customer-focused
  • Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders

Responsibilities

  • Inspect homes and buildings for mold contamination and water damage
  • Conduct initial walkthroughs and assessments with customers
  • Measure air quality, moisture, and humidity levels using specialized equipment
  • Collect air and material samples for mold analysis
  • Recommend appropriate remediation and treatment solutions
  • Install drying equipment, including fans and dehumidification systems
  • Perform post-remediation testing and diagnostics
  • Educate customers on mold prevention and indoor environmental health
  • Document job findings and recommendations according to company standards
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and service needs
  • Represent RAData and Protect Environmental in a professional, customer-focused manner
