Requirements

1 year of manufacturing experience required; automotive experience preferred
Experience of working to production targets
Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S process.

Responsibilities

Safely operate PIT's and overhead crane in order to deliver/install materials/molds to the injection molding department.
Properly load molds into the injection molding machines according to the work instructions while adhering to SMED principles.
Properly remove molds from the injection molding machines according to the work instructions while adhering to SMED principles.
Properly store molds that are not in use according to the work instructions.
Effectively communicate with team leaders and supervisors regarding problems with the material flow, absence of materials, and safety/quality concerns.
Place an emergency work order form and inform maintenance in case of equipment problems.
Maintains good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
Performs PIT/overhead crane inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order and follows all safety guidelines for the work area.
Communicate effectively with tool shop in case of problems with tools and with resin technicians in case of problems with color or materials.
Support the quality technicians and process technicians in the identification of root cause by giving them the required information. Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
Practical hands-on approach to problem solving.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Works in a safe manner at all times, complying with Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
