About The Position

The Mold Setter I is responsible for setting and removing molds from molding machines, completing all necessary paperwork and documentation. This role requires the ability to train and respond to machine alarms, perform line clearance, mold upgrades, and clean equipment. The Mold Setter I will communicate with various departments regarding any issues and maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company safety and quality standards (TS16949 and ISO14001).

Requirements

Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Possesses the technical and mechanical skills to set and pull mold.
Skills to start and persist with specific course of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency.
Willing to commit to long hours of work in order to reach goals.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Substantial interpersonal skills for effective communication and interaction with all levels of the organization.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

High School or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Prior Mold Setting experience a plus.
Required skill level obtained through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

Set and pull molds according to established procedures.
Load programs for Robots and Machines.
Respond to machine buzzers, alarms, and red lights.
Complete line clearance, mold upgrades, and remove auxiliary equipment.
Clean around machines.
Communicate with manager, shift supervisor, quality assurance, toolroom, and maintenance about any department-related problems.
Keep all areas within responsibility neat, clean, and organized.
Maintain compliance with company safety, housekeeping, rules, and procedures.
Ensure practices are compliant with TS16949 and ISO14001 procedures.
