About The Position

The Mold Set Up TM performs safe and efficient mold changes according to production needs and confirms setups before returning equipment to production. The role also includes basic maintenance, equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance, documentation, resin and material handling, and general production support. The employee must follow required personal protective equipment and environmental procedures. The position may include training team members and temporary employees using PIS and CIS.

Requirements

• Knowledge of how to use basic tools.
• Follow required PPE standards and EMS procedures and practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with injection molding machines or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Forklift training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow required PPE standards, including wearing a hard hat, gloves, alert whistle, and safety-toe footwear during mold changes.
• Perform safe and efficient mold changes in accordance with production needs.
• Clean machines and return them to proper condition after mold change activities.
• Verify and confirm mold change setups before releasing equipment back to production.
• Perform basic maintenance, including water line repairs and replacement of damaged water fittings.
• Log mold changes accurately and maintain required documentation.
• Clean and perform preventive maintenance on jet loaders, dryers, and associated filters.
• Organize and store EOATs properly and support kaizen improvements for mold and EOAT storage.
• Handle materials and resin, including cleaning the resin room and material mezzanine.
• Provide general production support and assist with other tasks when mold changes are not required.
• May train team members and temporary employees using PIS and CIS.
• Attend required training and understand responsibilities related to environmental policies, the management system, and objectives and targets.
• Perform tasks in accordance with EMS procedures and practices and minimize the environmental impact of work activities.
