Requirements

Four to ten years related experience and/or training with Journeyman or Master craftsman certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to learn new software as needed
Knowledgeable in the areas of mold and tool making.

Responsibilities

Completing all quality checks and paperwork associated with job tasks.
Testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing faulty or damaged tooling.
Analyzing drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine tool specifications and tolerances.
Keeping presses operational.
Performing preventative maintenance on molds.
Restoring damaged surfaces and re-machining to specifications.
Reassembling, testing, and adjusting tooling.
Performing slide changes.
Checking water flow on higher volume tooling.
Performing other repairs, corrections, and engineering changes to molds as requested by Production Tooling Manager.
Teaching and guiding apprentices through all facets of mold making.
