Mold Press Operator
About The Position
Precision Fluorocarbon Inc. (PFI), a manufacturer of custom plastic components in Tomball, Texas, is seeking a Mold Press Operator. PFI specializes in compression-molded PTFE, thermally formed PTFE diaphragms, custom components, and machined plastic components for industries including aerospace, medical, motorsports, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, pump, semiconductor, and valve. The Mold Press Operator loads molds with the proper materials and operates equipment according to established procedures to produce preformed parts. The role uses measuring devices and tools to ensure products meet dimensional specifications and engineering standards, maintains molds and equipment, and keeps an orderly work area with accurate records and job history. The operator may also operate a forklift truck, hoist, or crane. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered after 90 days. Employment is contingent on passing reference, background, and drug screening checks.
Requirements
- Accredited high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move 35 pounds throughout the workday.
Nice To Haves
- One to three months of experience in a manufacturing facility is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Load molds with proper materials and operate equipment using established procedures to produce preformed parts.
- Use measuring devices and perform operations to ensure finished products conform to dimensional specifications.
- Properly use tools and equipment to produce molded products in accordance with engineering standards.
- Clean equipment and molds after operations.
- Ensure tools are in good operating condition before placing them in storage.
- Operate a forklift truck, hoist, or crane.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and accurate records and job history.
