About The Position

This position is responsible for the operation of presses to mold and cure rubber on manufactured assemblies. The role involves setting up and operating various machinery, reading and interpreting technical documents, performing quality tests, and installing machine components. The job requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear, with the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds. Punctuality and consistent attendance are expected.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate: Red & Brown Rubber Mill, Extruder, Molding Press, and Oil Molding Press
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, method sheets, process sheets, policies and procedures to manufacture a variety of rigid and flexible metal tubes.
  • Measures angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, thread lead, wall thickness, and other specifications.
  • Performs a variety of quality tests per procedures.
  • Installs dies and plates on machine according to work order specifications, using clamps, bolts, and hand-tools.
  • Sprays inner surface of mold with lubricant to prevent rubber from sticking.
  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
