Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions such as Manufacturing Assembly Instructions, Quality Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • The ability to perform simple writing tasks such as recording log entries, lot numbers and dates.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with injection molding and/or operating manufacturing machines is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Shipping and/or Packaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up Mold Machines, general maintenance and operation.
  • Inspection of molded parts and assemblies.
  • Packaging final devices and shipping finished product to end user.
  • Following all employee guidelines and Quality Systems Regulations (QSR’s) as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure customer requirements and FDA (or equivalent) regulations are met.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and acting in accordance with NMT’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
  • Supporting business needs, peers and other departments as a team player.
  • Thoroughly reading and following all job sheets, production drawings, MAI’s and R&D sample assemblies.
  • Installing molds and adjusting controls on Mold Machines.
  • Performing daily inspections on equipment and molding tools as instructed by the Molding Supervisor or designee.
  • Performing assigned jobs as required by Manufacturing Assembly Instructions.
  • Performing in-line inspection and testing to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Performing troubleshooting and recommending solutions to simple problems such as short shots, blow outs, flash, etc.
  • Being responsible for the quality of the product produced.
  • Abiding by a Safety-First mindset and following safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintaining regular attendance.
  • Using a microscope.
  • Shipping: Packaging finished products in appropriate containers/boxes with adequate packing materials, creating and printing product labels, interfacing with Customer Service, Engineering, Scheduling, Production and Administrative personnel regarding shipments, priorities and logistical issues, and becoming familiar with Shipping software such as UPS/FedEx.
  • Packaging: Labeling products with a description of their contents, sealing containers with tape, completing documentation in accordance with BMED and customer requirements, performing final inspection and counts of items to ensure they meet production standards, and packaging finished goods into bags, boxes or crates and moving them to the Shipping area for delivery.
