About The Position
The Mold Polishing Technician is responsible for using hand held and power tools for a variety of different mediums; specifically, for polishing, sanding and supporting the manufacturing process by maintaining and preparing tooling or equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools and shop equipment
- Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues using decision making and analytical abilities
- Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally complete tasks
- Willingness to learn and assist with the development of new techniques that will improve efficiency
- Requires continuous sitting, standing and walking

Responsibilities
- Polish /prepare mold cavities and components
- Inspect parts for quality per customer requirements
- Wrap and package parts for shipping
- Participate in inventory counts, as needed
- Use computer to locate, enter and update information (Microsoft Excel)
- Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move parts
- Assist machinists with mold component production
- Materials handling and preparation for machining operations using pallet jacks and fork lifts
- Monitor and assist maintaining inventory of purchased mold components, hardware, and raw material
- Ensure work assignments are carried out to the highest quality ensuring customer quality and company needs are met
