About The Position

The Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of tooling, including waxing of tooling in accordance with established procedures and schedules. This role also maintains the condition of deck, hull, and small part tooling. The position requires a high degree of energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn various equipment and processes. The technician will use high-speed pneumatic/battery powered tools and hand tools safely and effectively, sand and buff surfaces to a smooth finish, and complete required documentation for production. Daily duties will be varied and dynamic, with workload tracked via daily schedules and assignments, requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness. The ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policies and hazardous material guidelines is essential. Good housekeeping practices are also required.

Requirements

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Sand and buff problem area to make a smooth, shiny surface.
