About The Position

This role is responsible for assembling and disassembling molds according to work instructions and blueprints. The technician will perform overhauls, including preventative maintenance and parts fitting, ensuring mold components are shaped and function correctly. A key part of the role involves quality assurance checks on fabricated tooling and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The position also requires preparing documentation, communicating effectively with other departments regarding mold activities, and adhering to all safety and OSHA guidelines. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Two Year Machine Tool Technology degree, or 1-3 years on the job experience with injection mold maintenance.
  • Must possess fine motor skills for handling delicate components.
  • Must be able to perform frequent pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying.
  • Must possess excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to learn.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble/disassemble molds following applicable work instructions and blueprints.
  • Perform overhauls (Preventative Maintenance); Parts fitting and shape mold components in accordance to training guidelines and understand parts mating, position and function.
  • Perform quality assurance check on all fabricated tooling.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Prepare required documentation (i.e. tooling work orders, quality inspection reports, etc.).
  • Insure proper verbal/written communication with other departments in regard to mold activities.
  • Perform all job duties per OSHA guidelines, safety rules and housekeeping requirements and insure other maintenance associates follow the proper guidelines, rules and requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
