About The Position

We’ve got a great opportunity for someone who loves to take things apart, address current or potential issues, and put it back together to be at full functionality. At Premier, this would entail the maintenance and repair of tooling for permanent mold production, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection and setup. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined
• Auto mechanical experience is highly transferable
• Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment
• Basic experience or comfort using hand tools and power tools preferred
• Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift
• Team oriented with strong focus on safety

Nice To Haves

• Welding, fabrication, machining or mechanical repair
• Exposure to manufacturing, foundry or production environments
• Basic mechanical knowledge or related training/education

Responsibilities

• Mold preparation and maintenance
• Perform general fabrication, repair or replacement of furnace tools, ladles, intermediate tubes and other production support equipment
• Perform repair or minor modifications using machining operations and bench work on tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, etc. with the use of dimensional prints or models overseen by supervisor
• Perform mold repair in foundry as needed
• Metal fabrication
• Perform other duties as assigned
