About The Position

HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry. We are seeking for a Mold Assembler in Richmond, BC. The Mold Assembler is responsible for following and maintaining the standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure high-quality assembly of carbon assembly parts. This role requires adherence to specified guidelines and active participation in improving the process through feedback and collaboration with the Quality Department.

Requirements

• Competent in the English language and able to communicate efficiently
• Basic computer abilities. Able to use computer to record data.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high-quality standards
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and provide constructive feedback
• Good eyesight and steady hands.
• Able to work flexible shifts.
• Must not be allergic to dust, graphite or metal compounds.
• Able to work sitting down for the duration of the 8 hours shift
• Able to lift/move weights up to 20 lbs.
• Able to work in a team.
• Must have legal working status in Canada
• The role requires working in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Some production experience (similar or textile industries) is an advantage. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Execute assembly operations according to works orders and ensure that all duties and tasks are performed according to safety and quality standards and SOPs.
• Using the computer to receive work order information and enter production data.
• Perform various quality checks on carbon parts using measuring equipment to ensure quality compliance.
• Operation of pressing machines
• Perform general housekeeping, keeping work area clean. Completing tools cleaning tasks and routine maintenance work as assigned.
• Any other duties required by leadhand.
