About The Position

Seeking a friendly and dependable full-time Mohs Medical Assistant for our Dermatology Practice. This is an hourly position classified as a Mohs Medical Assistant/Scribe. Training is provided if no prior experience. EMR knowledge, MA certification, and experience are a plus, but not required. Duties include assisting physicians with surgical procedures and biopsies, maintaining a clean exam and surgery room, speaking clearly and precisely to patients and staff, and being willing to jump in and help with day-to-day duties. The ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is required. Scribing experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be proficient with verbal and written communication.
• Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
• Must be reliable and a self-starter.
• Proficient with written and verbal communication.
• Know how to operate computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.
• Proficient with written, communication and basic math skills
• Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA.

Nice To Haves

• EMR knowledge, MA certification and experience a plus, but not required.
• Scribing experience preferred, but not required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)
• Medical Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
• EMR Systems: 1 year (preferred)
• Medical Terminology: 1 year (preferred)
• Bachelors of science or biology will be considered.
• Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) preferred.
• EMR, iPad, computer knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities
