About The Position

Seeking a friendly and dependable full-time Mohs Medical Assistant for our Dermatology Practice. This role involves assisting physicians with surgical procedures and biopsies, maintaining a clean environment, clear communication with patients and staff, and contributing to day-to-day duties in a fast-paced setting. Training is provided, and prior experience is not strictly required, though EMR knowledge, MA certification, and scribing experience are a plus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with verbal and written communication.
• Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
• Must be reliable and a self-starter.
• Proficient with written, communication and basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

• EMR knowledge, MA certification and experience a plus, but not required.
• Scribing experience preferred, but not required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (Preferred)
• Medical Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
• EMR Systems: 1 year (preferred)
• Medical Terminology: 1 year (preferred)
• Bachelors of science or biology will be considered.
• Experience with EMR (electronic medical records) preferred.
• EMR, iPad, computer knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with surgical procedures and biopsies.
• Maintaining a clean exam and surgery room.
• Speaking clearly and precisely to patients and staff.
• Willing to jump in and help with day-to-day duties.
• Verify patient information when rooming patients.
• Operate computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA.
