Mohs Histology Tech Part Time
About The Position
Exciting opportunity to join the growing Mohs Dermatology team as a part-time (28 hour/week) Mohs Histology Tech! In this role you will perform orienting, embedding, cutting, and staining of frozen tissue specimens. You will freeze tissue samples, cut frozen sections and mount samples on slides, prepare correct reagents and solutions utilized in procedure, and maintain quality control logs for slide review. To be successful in this role you need clinical experience, a passion for team building and integration, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions. Requirements
- Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Histology Tech with previous frozen section experience required.
- Previous experience with computer software is helpful.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Offers are contingent on successful completion of background screen and immunization requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mohs or Dermatology is strongly preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) program preferred.
- HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification preferred.
