About The Position
Under general supervision following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, prepares high quality tissue specimens for microscopic examination and performs a wide variety of standard and non-standard histological tests and stains and a limited number of new, modified, or special tests and examinations.
Requirements
- Associated Degree - Science
- License/Registrations - Issued by Florida or Compact State
- Clinical Lab Technologist
- Prepare and keep laboratory up to CLIA Standards.
- Knowledge of CLIA regulations regarding proficiency testing, quality assurance and quality control.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Time Management Skills: able to process slides in a timely manner for surgeon/pathologist while patient is waiting.
