The modular assembler supports the assembly and fabrication of modular components used in construction and manufacturing projects. Team members work with materials such as conduit, insulation, sheet metal and structural framing while learning and applying industry-standard assembly techniques. This role involves using hand and power tools, following work instructions and safety procedures, and contributing to the production of high-quality modular systems. Training is available for candidates who demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to learn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, assembly, automotive, maintenance, warehousing, landscaping, farming, military service or other hands-on work environments.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools or shop equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings or technical diagrams.
  • Forklift, crane or equipment operation experience.
  • Technical training, trade school education or industry certifications.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, PPE requirements and safe lifting procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders, or learn to do so with training and support.
  • Measure, cut and assemble modular framing and components.
  • Assist with the installation of conduit, insulation, sheet metal and structural elements.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assemble materials using screws, bolts, adhesives and other fastening methods.
  • Help construct framing systems, support structures and modular assemblies.
  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other equipment as trained and authorized.
  • Position and install parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools and lifting equipment.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and report any issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Follow production schedules and work instructions.
  • Assist with material handling and movement throughout the shop.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
