Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with software development with Rust and C/C++, including debugging, testing, and system-level programming
  • Experience with lower-level programming concepts such as memory management, modularity, and design patterns
  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Git, SSH, CLI tooling, and general networking fundamentals
  • Ability to work in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Ability to interpret sparse or outdated documentation and read legacy interfaces
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python for tooling, scripting, and test automation
  • Experience in modernizing legacy software systems
  • Experience with Navy submarine or surface combat systems, including AN/BYG-1, SWFTS, or TI/APB
  • Experience with messaging or streaming systems such as Kafka, NATS, gRPC, or Redpanda
  • Experience with system telemetry frameworks such as Prometheus or Grafana
  • Knowledge of real-time acoustic, sonar, or signal-processing systems
  • Ability to demonstrate an interest in emerging developer tooling, including local LLMs, vector databases, or workflow automation using AI-forward approaches
