Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with software development with Rust and C/C++, including debugging, testing, and system-level programming
- Experience with lower-level programming concepts such as memory management, modularity, and design patterns
- Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with Git, SSH, CLI tooling, and general networking fundamentals
- Ability to work in both Linux and Windows environments
- Ability to interpret sparse or outdated documentation and read legacy interfaces
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Python for tooling, scripting, and test automation
- Experience in modernizing legacy software systems
- Experience with Navy submarine or surface combat systems, including AN/BYG-1, SWFTS, or TI/APB
- Experience with messaging or streaming systems such as Kafka, NATS, gRPC, or Redpanda
- Experience with system telemetry frameworks such as Prometheus or Grafana
- Knowledge of real-time acoustic, sonar, or signal-processing systems
- Ability to demonstrate an interest in emerging developer tooling, including local LLMs, vector databases, or workflow automation using AI-forward approaches
