About The Position

Design enterprise architecture (EA) to enable strategic or tactical transformations through informed decision-making at any level of an enterprise to support governance, future growth, adaptability, optimization, and modernization initiatives such as cloud and digital solutions. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience providing hands-on leadership to re-engineering modernization team engineers, including C++, Java, and Python
  • Ability to carry-out the selective re-engineering of a large code base
  • Ability to selectively refactor application code and data architecture without changing externally observable behavior or established data governance responsibilities and scope
  • Ability to lead the troubleshooting of refactored software
  • Ability to oversee CM and CI/CD pipelines, including the automation of security scans, SAST, DAST testing, and SBOMs
  • Ability to plan and oversee automated unit integration and regression testing of the refactored modules
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted code analysis, candidate-module identification, and dependency analysis and refactoring, and providing appropriate manual reviews and security controls
  • Experience with containerized microservices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native deployment
  • Experience with event-driven messaging systems in asynchronous services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with software engineering teams, a Lead Software Modernization Architect, the USG customer, and coalition legacy software developers
  • Ability to profile and document the performance of legacy and refactored software
  • TS/SCI clearance
