About The Position

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled Modernization Data Analyst to support the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO) through their IT Modernization effort. This IT transformation is foundational to building a more lethal and ready Joint Force capable of operating in contested environments, which is essential for facing and deterring current and future threats.

Requirements

LEVEL 2 - 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field.
LEVEL 3 - 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field.
Strong understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with DoW data security and compliance requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST standards) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear, concise manner.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Collaborative team player willing and eager to learn.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
A SECRET level security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze large, complex datasets from multiple legacy and modernized systems to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and cybersecurity teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility across modernization efforts.
Translate technical data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support data integration activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Department of War (DoW) data governance standards.
Contribute to the development of data quality metrics and automated validation processes.
