Modem Software and System Engineer
About The Position
This individual possesses the solid engineering fundamentals and understanding with some supervision in the application of Modem Software knowledge to assist in the design, implementation, verification, validation, and commercialization of the Wireless WAN (or cellular) core network and data connectivity software solutions on our modem. Assists in the implementation & verification of core network and connectivity aspects of our cellular modem. Assists in addressing modem project engineering functions in order to deliver world-class modem solutions. Develops unit test cases to test/verify code. The individual works on performance profiling the modem software and optimizing various aspects of this. Helps enhance the security of the stack, preventing unauthorized access to the software or debug capabilities, as well as software enhancements to make the software more robust and less vulnerable to malicious attacks. Collaborates with team members to design products and weigh tradeoff against requirements. Writes technical documentation and feature descriptions for Modem SW projects. Participates at design reviews and project meetings.
Requirements
- Solid engineering fundamentals and understanding.
- Ability to apply Modem Software knowledge with some supervision.
- Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.
Responsibilities
