Modeling and Simulation Specialist – USSF Guardian Enlisted Training
About The Position
Aleut Federal is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Specialist to support the 533d Training Squadron’s USSF Guardian Enlisted Training (GET) initiative at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA. This role is crucial for refining the training of enlisted Guardians to better prepare the USSF for dominating in the space-domain. The GET initiative aims to transform initial skills training to meet the Chief of Space Operations’ vision, focusing on enlisted Guardians as technical specialists, leaders, and weapon system experts across satellite operations, cyberspace operations, and intelligence operations. The M&S Specialist will develop realistic space-domain scenarios and simulations for various training phases and exercises, creating orbital and ground-based training environments using government M&S tools. This is a non-instructor position.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ programming.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
- High School degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing modeling and simulation tools and building training scenarios.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with US Space Force-related Tactical Data Processors and applications – GCCS, Agile Client, PDS-M, TRS-Dashboard, and GIANT.
- Familiarity with AFSIM, Systems Toolkit (STK), BORG, and/or other Orbital Warfare M&S tools.
- Instructional Systems Design (ISD) experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Modeling and Simulation (M&S) support to the GET curriculum as required in Orbital Warfare, Space Electronic Warfare, Space Battle Management, Intelligence, and Cyber phases of instruction.
- Develop realistic space-domain scenarios and simulations for student activities, integrated exercises, and Graduation Exercise (GRADEX).
- Create orbital and ground-based training environments using government M&S tools.
- Support exercise design, storytelling, and scenario development.
- Coordinate activities with Contract PM and government supervisory personnel.
