About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to support customers at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). The role supports the growing use of Model-Based Systems Engineering in the Department of War and Intelligence Community to enable efficient, data-driven system development and analysis. The position is contingent upon contract award and is based at the customer site.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
6–10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
Familiarity with systems engineering processes, including requirements management, architecture definition, and verification and validation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with SysML modeling, tools, and techniques.
Active Top Secret security clearance and ability to obtain an SCI.

Nice To Haves

Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, or Enterprise Architect.
Experience with AFSIM.

Responsibilities

Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability for complex systems.
Develop and maintain system architectures, designs, and interface control documents.
Conduct system-level testing, verification, and validation activities.
Participate in trade studies, risk assessments, and technical reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional software, hardware, and test engineering teams.
Support the integration and testing of system components and subsystems.
Document technical specifications, test plans, and project reports.
Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and tools where applicable.
Provide technical support and expertise throughout the system development lifecycle.
