About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join a strategic mission focused on designing and implementing a consolidated, integrated MBSE architecture across major Intel Centers. This initiative aims to accelerate weapons systems analysis, improve decision-making, and ensure technical synchronization for Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD). The role involves working with senior government stakeholders and technical teams to architect and lead this transformation, shaping the future of systems analysis and command & control modeling at the enterprise level with a tangible impact on national defense.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience with a BS/BA; 6+ years of relevant experience with MS/MA, and 3+ years of relevant experience with Ph.D.(An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudicated and able to pass a polygraph
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools
  • Experience developing SysML artifacts in support of real-world systems
  • Familiarity with ITASE (Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment)
  • Working knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple agencies and locations in a coordinated technical team

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site MBSE support at MSIC
  • Develop high-fidelity Systems Modeling Language (SysML) architecture models focused on foreign missile systems and Command & Control (C2) systems
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrated DoDAF-compliant system architecture views and SysML artifacts
  • Collaborate with government technical leads, product owners, and agency stakeholders on system modeling and requirements
  • Produce high-quality technical and design documentation in support of system development and analysis
  • Drive MBSE standardization, integration, and best practices across the joint environment
