About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Junior MBSE Engineer (Digital Backbone / Aviation Systems) to support our Huntsville, AL location. We are supporting the integration, verification, and test of next-generation aviation and mission systems utilizing deterministic Ethernet-based Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), Digital Backbone (DBB), and Data Distribution System (DDS) architectures within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL), and digital engineering environments. We are seeking an early-career Systems Engineer with a passion for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital engineering, and aviation mission systems. This position provides an opportunity to work alongside systems, software, network, cybersecurity, and avionics engineers supporting the design, modeling, integration, and validation of complex aviation architectures utilizing SysML and modern MBSE methodologies. The ideal candidate will have experience developing system models, analyzing requirements, and supporting architecture development using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and MagicDraw. Candidates should be interested in supporting MOSA-aligned aviation systems and digital backbone modernization initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, MBSE, Digital Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical disciplines through professional work, internships, research, or academic projects.
  • Familiarity with SysML and MBSE concepts including requirements modeling, behavior modeling, structural modeling, and traceability.
  • Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and the systems development lifecycle.
