About The Position

MatchPoint Solutions is seeking a talented AUTOSAR Application with Model Based Software Developer to join our global team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the designs, implementation, and validation of embedded software features using visual modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and State flow. The engineer will configure model to code toolchains (Embedded Coder, Target Link) to produce production-ready, MISRA compliant C/C++ for Smart Cockpit ECUs. This hands-on engineer will own component design, verification across MIL/SIL/PIL, bug resolution, and continuous improvement of algorithms and generated code.

Requirements

  • 6 to 12 years of hands-on experience in Model Based Development using Statemate, Simulink, State flow, Embedded Coder, or Target Link.
  • 1–2+ years leading development projects or small teams, planning activities, and setting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate external resources and cross-functional teams in a lead role.
  • Model Based Design: strong practical skills building high fidelity Simulink and State flow models and mapping them to Autosar SWC interfaces.
  • Autosar: Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR standards for Classic and Adaptive platforms and SWC/RTE concepts.
  • Code Generation and Compliance: experience configuring model to code toolchains to generate production ready, MISRA compliant C/C++.
  • Embedded Software: proficiency in embedded C/C++ with experience in performance profiling, memory optimization, and real time constraints.
  • Debugging and Testing: hands-on experience in requirements and change request analysis, software debugging, and using testing and logging tools.
  • Verification: practical experience with Model in the Loop, Software in the Loop, and Processor in the Loop testing and debugging.
  • Toolchain and Automation: Experience with process automation and CI/CD pipelines; scripting for automation using Python, Bash, or equivalent.
  • Version Control and PLM: hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, SVN and Product/Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Jira, Polarion, or Jazz.
  • Hardware Knowledge: familiarity with automotive SoCs and microcontrollers and ECU integration considerations.
  • Architecture: A strong knowledge of software architecture design and system integration.
  • Quality and Process: working knowledge of ASPICE and familiarity with ISO 26262 safety processes.
  • Communication: fluency in English for global collaboration and reporting. Should have strong written and verbal communication skills and preferred with English.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience developing embedded production software for automotive ECUs.
  • Experience with operating systems such as Linux, Android, QNX, Integrity, or other RTOS.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols including CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UART, and SPI.
  • Practical experience with A SPICE, ISO 26262 functional safety, and ISO 21434 cybersecurity.
  • Experience with test driven development and proficiency writing and verifying test cases and test suites.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in Agile Scrum environments.
  • Experience in advanced development including AI driven solutions and applying GenAI for automation and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience developing applications on QNX and using QNX Momentics IDE for development, debugging, and log/trace analysis.
  • Knowledge of inter-process communications
  • Practical experience using AI powered coding assistants and GenAI to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Autosar Software Components.
  • Configure and use model to code toolchains to generate production ready, MISRA compliant C/C++ from Simulink/State flow.
  • Analyze and fix software bugs and defects across models, generated code, and integration layers.
  • Improve algorithm design and generated code for performance, memory, and real time constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety and quality standards including ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
  • Maintain requirements for traceability.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for models, generated code, interfaces, and architecture.
  • Plan and execute HIL, SIL, and PIL testing and debugging to identify root causes and verify fixes.
  • Collaborate with systems and software architects to translate high level requirements into modular, scalable model architecture.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for model builds, code generation, testing, and delivery.
  • Train and mentor junior developers; perform technical reviews of models and generated code to ensure quality and robustness.
  • Interface and lead debugging sessions with integration teams to resolve integration issues.
  • Collaborate with validation teams to analyze defects and close validation gaps.
  • Define and maintain development plans, roadmaps, and KPIs, report progress and quality metrics.
  • Write best practices and guidelines for model based development and Autosar integration.
