Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year in 3D modeling of aero-engines and gas turbine components.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX/Teamcenter preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with team members at all levels.
  • U.S. citizenship required; active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 1-3 years of product definition experience.
  • Experience with Siemens NX CAD Drafting and MBD, and Teamcenter PLM in designing mechanical engine components.
  • Experience in adoption and/or integration of emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, digital assistants) into day-to-day operations for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to get to customer locations to visit customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D cross-sections, 3D models, and Model-Based Definitions (MBD) within Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments.
  • If required, aid in the redesign of various externals components, support the investigation of root cause for failures, and subsequent design reviews.
  • Conceptualize and design gas turbine external components, pushing the boundaries of engineering.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances, ensuring optimal manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to drive improvements in quality, speed, and precision.
  • Navigate CAD and CAM environments, managing projects within budget and schedule, delivering uncompromising quality.
