Gold Coast Transit District is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in public transportation, local government, and community service. Interns will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that support GCTD’s mission of connecting the community to opportunity through safe, reliable, and innovative transportation services. Typical internship hours will be part time 20hrs per week, but we will work with selected applicants on a schedule if flexibility is needed or other jobs or school. This is a part-time temporary position (Maximum hours 980 per year). This internship is designed to benefit both the Intern and Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD). In this position, the intern will learn how to apply skills that were acquired in the academic environment and apply them in a professional setting. The Intern will gain an understanding of a public transit district and be better prepared to work in various areas of the public sector. Work schedule will be up to 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available to meet the incumbents needs.
