About The Position
Under the supervision and direction of nursing and physical therapy, the Mobility Aide assists the inpatient care team with mobilizing or moving assigned patients. The role requires excellent communication with the care team and interaction with all types of inpatients.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer patients of various weights and ages.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Excellent communication with the care team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous healthcare or mobility aide experience, or related training.
- Experience as a student in a healthcare field, including but not limited to LPN, RN, exercise physiology, pre-medicine, or therapy.
