Responsible for performing routine patient mobility and walking under direct supervision of Nursing staff and/or Rehabilitation Services staff. Mobilizes patients out of bed and walks patients in patient rooms and hallways (per the patient’s tolerance) with assistance and mobility devices as needed. Assists therapists during therapy sessions. Attends and actively participates in team meetings. Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner. Maintains equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition. NWH is recruiting for a Mobility Aide to work in the acute care/inpatient setting. The primary function of this role is to assist, support, and promote walking and mobility of hospitalized patients on the hospital’s medical/surgical units. The individual in this role will collaborate with Nursing Staff and Rehabilitation Services staff to achieve and perform these tasks.
