About The Position

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. We offer: Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching, Boot Allowance. This is a Full Time, Permanent position. The schedule involves 10+ Hours/day, with Saturdays and Sundays as required, and a schedule as per Operational Requirements. Overtime is paid after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week. The location is based out of our shop at 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. Essential qualities for this role include being hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, and the ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements

Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Class 3Q (Airbrakes) Driver’s License
Must have experience operating a 18 speed manual transmission
Class 3 license Q endorsed (airbrakes) with clean abstract

Nice To Haves

One (1) year experience working on a hydrovac truck or Steamer Truck in an industrial setting

Responsibilities

Washing various pieces of heavy equipment, parts, and support vehicles in the field with high pressure hose.
Ensure proper treatment and maintenance of wash wands and equipment.
Perform general housekeeping to ensure the mobile wash truck is clean and organized.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the field for the truck and surrounding environment.
Load and unload supplies from trucks manually and at times may be asked to use equipment.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
