Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Trenton, Princeton, Hamilton Township, Monroe Township, Manalapan Township, Jackson Township, New Jersey, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian works independently in a mobile setting while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules of 2–5 days per week are described as flexible. The role averages three to four appointments per day, allowing time with families and less paperwork. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $117,500, and five-day positions have a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in a mobile setting.
- Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day.
