About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Royal Oak, Detroit, Warren, Clinton Township, Macomb, Sterling Heights, Michigan, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families, working in a mobile setting rather than a traditional in-clinic practice. The role offers schedule options of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Three-day, four-day, and five-day full-time opportunities are available, as well as part-time opportunities.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Candidates must complete a background check and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
Conduct mobile veterinary appointments in clients’ homes and surrounding service areas.
