About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving San Jose, California, including Santa Clara, Morgan Hill, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules, typically 2–5 days per week, and an average of 3–4 appointments per day. Veterinarians receive comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center while practicing independently. Full-time opportunities are available on 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules. Compensation varies by schedule: 4-day positions start at $117,500, and 5-day positions offer a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
