Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Grand Rapids, Michigan, including Wyoming, Rockford, Ada, Kentwood, Caledonia, and surrounding areas. Veterinarians provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with an average of three to four appointments per day and time for meaningful, unrushed visits. Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available, with prorated compensation. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The company provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes.
- Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day.
- Work independently in the field while engaging with company support, mentorship, and training resources.
