About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Melbourne, Florida, including Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, Rockledge, Titusville, Merritt Island, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities and some part-time opportunities also available. Appointments average three to four per day and are designed to allow time with families and reduce paperwork. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
