About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Ventura, California, including Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible scheduling, an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day, and support from a community of veterinarians and support professionals. Lap of Love provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Full-time opportunities are available on three-, four-, and five-day schedules. Compensation depends on schedule structure: four-day positions start at $117,500, and five-day positions have a $140,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
