About The Position

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking Mobile Trailer Technicians/Mobile Service Mechanics for a second shift position. This role involves traveling to customer locations to perform trailer inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. It is a hands-on position ideal for technicians who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and delivering high-quality service in the field. Technicians will work on a wide range of trailer systems and equipment while representing a leading transportation maintenance network.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Mobile Mechanic, or Fleet Maintenance Technician
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with welding, brake systems, suspension, and electrical repair
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

Nice To Haves

  • CDL and DOT experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Respond to mobile service calls and complete on-site trailer repairs
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot trailer issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
  • Repair and replace trailer components including brake systems, suspension systems, electrical wiring and lighting, floors, doors, frames, and structural components
  • Troubleshoot and repair liftgate issues
  • Perform welding and fabrication work as required
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
  • Manage inventory and parts on service vehicle
  • Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
