About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring a Mobile Diesel Trailer Technician/Mechanic in Romulus, Michigan. The technician performs maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles. The position pays $25.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience, with weekly pay every Friday. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Work takes place in a mobile and/or shop environment, with possible exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, oils, greases, and other mechanical irritants. The role requires lifting heavy objects and accessing tight spaces, as well as bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed. Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience performing truck and trailer maintenance and repairs.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen and DOT physical if required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium- to heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations.
