About The Position

The Mobile Sous Chef will work closely with the Mobile Chef in preparing dishes focusing on nutrition, including plant-based and vegan dishes.

Requirements

  • Culinary Arts Degree
  • 2 years working as a sous chef.
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certification
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work well with a team or independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Provide a safe experience for individuals experiencing hunger, addiction and/or health concerns by treating them with dignity, empathy and respect.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the production of food for all Metro events including on-site staff meals and food truck events.
  • Follow all health, safety and hygiene codes and standards.
  • Participate in the daily cleaning of all Community Kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in breaking down and cleaning the food truck at the end of each shift.
  • Communicate ideas and concerns to the Mobile Chef in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
