About The Position
TridentCare is hiring a mobile Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in McDonough, Georgia. The sonographer works in varied settings beyond a traditional hospital or practice-based center, transporting and setting up portable ultrasound equipment at facilities to perform physician-ordered examinations. The role performs and processes ultrasound exams, produces clinically diagnostic and technically competent images, and sends studies digitally to radiologists for interpretation. It also involves scanning exam paperwork and billing daily, maintaining the vehicle and sonography equipment, and keeping required licenses, certifications, health requirements, and operational standards current. The listed schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, with pay of $38.00–$43.00 per hour. The posting describes flexible scheduling and opportunities for overtime.
Requirements
- Completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
- ARDMS, CCT, or ARRT certification.
- Registry required in Echo and Vascular.
- Annual TB screens, physicals, and vaccinations, as required.
- Valid driver's license in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Perform and process ultrasounds, and send them digitally to radiologists for interpretation.
- Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment at various facilities to perform exams ordered by physicians.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent sonography images.
- Scan exam-related paperwork and complete billing each day per protocol.
- Maintain regular attendance and communicate professionally with peers, leadership, and clients.
- Ensure the maintenance of the vehicle and sonography equipment.
- Keep required state licenses, certifications, health requirements, and operational standards up to date.
