About The Position

Direct Supply is building healthcare technology products, solutions, and platforms to improve the lives of seniors and the people who care for them. In this role, you will use AI-powered development tools, machine learning models, and automation frameworks to build intelligent, adaptive, and scalable applications. The work includes developing AI-enhanced solutions and using AI to augment software development. You will join a cross-functional team creating high-quality, scalable web products, mobile applications, or server-based systems, balancing innovation with execution to deliver customer impact. The position involves building AI-powered applications and systems, integrating applications with databases, monitoring AI application performance, and rapidly prototyping AI-driven features in an agile environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of previous software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (Node.js/React), C#, and MVC frameworks.
Experience developing AI-powered applications, with examples of AI integrations using open models such as Hugging Face or APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
Familiarity with Microsoft environments, including Visual Studio and VS Code, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
Systems thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes, dependencies, tradeoffs, and broader system effects.
Ability to create, test, and develop ideas into useful, high-quality solutions.
Ability to continuously learn and adapt as technology, customer needs, roles, and work systems evolve.

Nice To Haves

Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGPT.
Contributions to open-source AI projects or AI-first research initiatives.
Expertise in AI-powered UI/UX development for enhanced human-computer interaction.
Understanding of AI model cost implications, cloud infrastructure, and performance optimization.
Participation in AI-related communities, meetups, or speaking engagements.
Experience with containerization, including Docker or Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

Develop AI-powered applications, including chatbot assistants, image-based diagnostics, and automation tools.
Build secure, scalable, high-performance systems and use AI-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to redefine customer journeys with Agentic AI solutions.
Design and implement APIs and microservices for integration between applications and databases.
Establish monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems for AI application observability and performance.
Rapidly prototype and iterate AI-driven features in a fast-moving environment.
Keep up with AI advancements and integrate emerging technologies into development workflows.
Work in an agile environment, balancing priorities with a solution-oriented mindset.
