About The Position

Direct Supply is building healthcare technology products, solutions, and platforms intended to improve the lives of seniors and their caregivers. The Mobile Software Engineer will develop AI-enhanced software and rethink development workflows using AI-powered tools, machine learning models, and automation frameworks. Working on a cross-functional team, the engineer will create high-quality, scalable web-based products, mobile applications, or server-based systems, balancing innovation with execution and customer impact. The role involves building AI-powered applications and scalable systems, integrating AI capabilities, designing APIs and microservices, and monitoring application performance. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of previous software engineering experience.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (Node.js/React), C#, and MVC frameworks.
Experience developing AI-powered applications, with examples of AI integrations using open models such as Hugging Face or APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
Familiarity with Microsoft environments, including Visual Studio and VS Code, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
Systems thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand broader systems, identify root causes and dependencies, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
Ability to create, test, and develop ideas into useful, high-quality solutions.
Ability to learn and adapt as technology, customer needs, roles, and work systems evolve.
Ability to lead complex initiatives advancing AI-driven software development.

Nice To Haves

Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain or AutoGPT.
Contributions to open-source AI projects or AI-first research initiatives.
Expertise in AI-powered UI/UX development for enhanced human-computer interaction.
Understanding of AI model costs, cloud infrastructure, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

Develop AI-powered applications that improve user experiences, including chatbot assistants, image-based diagnostics, and automation tools.
