The Canadian Personal Banking - iOS Mobile Team is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer II (iOS). This role involves developing new solutions, features, and enhancements for iOS applications. You will perform unit/component testing, support business inquiries through enhancements and break/fix implementations, and potentially conduct peer code reviews. You will collaborate with technology partners to ensure components meet requirements and performance goals, analyze technical requirements, and estimate coding efforts. The role also includes monitoring product lifecycles, documenting system components and architecture designs, participating in quality management reviews, and ensuring defect-free programming. You will provide technical expertise during incident management, analyze incident reports, perform impact assessments, and facilitate communication during incident resolution. Additionally, you will assist in developing and maintaining processes for issue prevention, participate in problem determination, and ensure adherence to enterprise frameworks and methodologies. A key aspect of this role is to collaboratively engage with stakeholders to proactively prevent defects and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation. You will conduct meaningful analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and perform code reviews to ensure quality, standards compliance, reusability, and maintainability. You will also monitor service and productivity, assess efficiency, and implement improvements. Leading and facilitating remediation plans for performance, risk, or governance issues is also part of the role. You will manage relationships with internal and external partners, protect the organization's interests by managing risks, and stay updated on emerging issues and regulatory requirements. Maintaining a culture of risk management and control is essential. You will participate fully as a team member, support a positive work environment, and ensure timely communication. Providing thought leadership, sharing knowledge, and mentoring team members are also expected. You will keep current on emerging trends and grow your knowledge of the business and related tools. Personal performance management and development activities, including cross-training, are part of the role. You will keep others informed about project status and relevant information. You will also lead, motivate, and develop relationships with business partners and stakeholders, contributing to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce. Acting as a brand ambassador for your business area and the bank is also expected.
