About The Position

Pohanka Ford is seeking Mobile Service Technicians to join their team in Salisbury, MD. This role involves traveling to customer locations within a 50-mile radius to provide mobile vehicle service. Technicians are responsible for performing repairs and maintenance according to dealership standards, utilizing diagnostic tools, and communicating directly with customers regarding services and cost estimates. The ideal candidate is a certified technician who excels in customer service, enjoys a flexible schedule, and can work independently. The Pohanka Family of Dealerships, established in 1919, has grown to 20 dealerships across Northern Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, and Texas, with Pohanka of Salisbury operating for over 20 years. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience
  • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Math, reading, and computer skills
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customers' locations to provide mobile service within 50 miles of Salisbury, MD
  • Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
  • Communicates directly with the customers to keep them informed on work completed and cost estimates
  • Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
