About The Position

Freeway Ford is seeking a professional and self-motivated Mobile Service Technician. In this role, you will be the face of our dealership in the community, operating a fully equipped Freeway Ford Mobile Service vehicle. You will perform a variety of repairs, ranging from recalls and oil changes to brake work and software updates, on-site at customer homes and businesses. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who enjoys working independently, has a strong diagnostic background, and possesses the "people skills" to provide a luxury-level service experience in the field.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required).
Ability to commute to Bloomington, MN, and operate a mobile service vehicle throughout the Twin Cities area.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Previous professional automotive repair experience (Ford experience strongly preferred).
2+ years of professional automotive experience in a dealership or high-volume shop.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and a professional, well-groomed appearance.
High level of time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Field Service Excellence: Perform high-quality maintenance and light repairs (oil changes, tire rotations, batteries, brakes, and recalls) at customer locations.
Diagnostic Proficiency: Utilize Ford diagnostic tools (IDS/FDRS) to perform module programming and software updates on-site.
Mobile Unit Management: Maintain the dealership-provided mobile service vehicle, ensuring it is clean, stocked with parts, and that all tools are properly maintained.
Customer Concierge: Act as a professional ambassador for Freeway Ford, explaining repairs to customers and ensuring a "guest-first" experience.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all shop and road safety protocols while operating the mobile unit and performing off-site repairs.
