We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Remote Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for customers in the Sterling Heights area. You’ll work independently with a fully equipped service truck which you will take home and is stocked with tooling provided by us, ensuring our customers receive top-tier service. This hands-on, mobile role involves diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues on heavy equipment, performing inspections and preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate service records and reports, communicating effectively with customers and internal teams, working independently and managing your schedule efficiently, and maintaining truck maintenance, cleanliness, and organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience repairing heavy-duty vehicles or equipment
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and welding (acetylene and arc)
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues on-site
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid Chauffeur’s license and medical card are required.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check.
Nice To Haves
- CDL is preferred.
- Background in agricultural equipment is a plus.
