About The Position

TC Transcontinental is seeking a full-time Intermediate Mobile Developer (SDK) to work on mobile SDKs and Android/iOS mobile applications. The role involves implementing new features, handling change requests, fixing bugs in existing solutions, and building new solutions from scratch. The developer will participate in code reviews, provide feedback, contribute to process improvements, and understand business and technical requirements. This position requires close collaboration with QA, product management, and analysts. This is a replacement position due to internal transfers, promotions, or departures.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile SDK's development
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Dart, Kotlin/Java, Swift/Objective C
  • Understanding of REST APIs
  • Proficient in iOS and/or Android mobile applications development
  • Knowledgeable in modern mobile and server coding and design practices (e.g., MVVM, MVP, Clean/VIPER, SOLID principles, and TDD)
  • Experience with sub-versioning (GIT), unit testing & managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience spearheading the full mobile application development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy
  • Ability to fully take ownership of a project or a product with minimal support after initial ramp-up period
  • High attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt to a high-paced environment where a candidate is required to often switch from one project to another
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (ability to receive and provide feedback is a must)
  • Client facing experience
  • Skilled in User Experience-driven design development

Responsibilities

  • Develop and unit test moderate to complex features/modules according to specific business and design requirements for in-house developed solutions.
  • Deliver on enhancements/product progression projects on time and on budget per project plan.
  • Provide support and enhancements to existing production mobile applications to minimize outage time and increase effectiveness of business.
  • Liaise with architects, Leads, QA, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to define software requirements; and to assess feasibility of solution within time constraints.
  • Produce code that is secure, reliable, reusable, and scalable.
  • Create implementation instructions and support application deployments.
  • Work with QA and Product team to review problems, define and test solutions.
  • Follow industry standards in mobile application development, secure coding, and testing.
