About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Mobile Repair Specialist to maintain its fleet of trucks and trailers in the assigned area. The role involves using U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess field vehicles and repair equipment according to company standards. Specialists plan and execute their workload, establish routes to reach down or inoperable equipment, and ensure vehicles are repaired or scheduled for repair. The position offers support, tools, training, and opportunities for career advancement. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Positive attitude.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and in accordance with U-Haul standards.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Determine causes of operating errors and decide what corrective action to take.
• Complete ongoing U-Haul equipment education.
• Establish an effective route in the assigned area to repair down or inoperable equipment and ensure all equipment is repaired or scheduled for repair.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts and charge out all parts used.
• Provide assistance in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s direction and guidance.
